Caryn Sweeney

Caryn Sweeney is Chief Philanthropy Officer at Prosperity Now, a Washington-DC based organization that works to make it possible for millions of people, especially people of color and those of limited incomes, to achieve financial security, stability and prosperity. As Chief Philanthropy Officer, Ms. Sweeney works to ensure Prosperity Now has the partnerships and resources needed to achieve its mission. Prior to joining Prosperity Now, Ms. Sweeney led program development efforts for the Aga Khan Foundation USA, securing resources and managing programs for multi-sector poverty alleviation in Central Asia, East Africa, and the Middle East. Ms. Sweeney also spent more than a decade at the Academy for Educational Development (AED), delivering and evaluating social and economic development programs in the United States and around the world. Ms. Sweeney holds a B.A. and Ed.M. from Boston University.
