Edward "Eddie" Shimkus

Eddie Shimkus joined the Council on Foundations from the U.S. Department of Agriculture where he served in the Office of Congressional Relations as Legislative Advisor. Previously, he worked on Capitol Hill, serving as Legislative Director in the office Congressman Sander Levin of Michigan and held several roles in the office of Congressman Tim Bishop of New York. He also worked as the manager of presidential communications at the George Washington University. Shimkus graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and political science.
