Janet Lopez

As the Senior Director of Policy, Partnerships, & Learning, Dr. Janet Lopez seeks to deepen relationships with nonprofit leaders, donors, and policymakers throughout metro Denver to increase The Denver Foundation’s impact on critical needs and solutions to those needs. Her career has focused on increasing access and opportunity for communities of color through both policy and practice. Prior to joining the Denver Foundation, she served as the policy director at Rose Community Foundation. She has worked  for Denver Mayor Michael Hancock as the interim director of the Denver Education Compact and has also  served as the deputy director of former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter’s P-20 Education Council.
