Joshu Harris is legislative director for Philadelphia City Councilman Kenyatta Johnson. In that role, he has spearheaded landmark initiatives to address gun violence, criminal justice reform, and social equity. Previously, he served in district attorney's offices in Manhattan, Philadelphia, and suburban Boston, and as a law clerk on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. In addition to chairing the ABA's Standing Committee on Gun Violence, Joshu co-founded its presidential task force on stand your ground laws and serves on its Criminal Justice Standards Committee. He graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center and from Amherst College, magna cum laude.
