Michael Dabbs

Director of Strategy
As director of strategy at the Gill Foundation, Michael Dabbs leads the development and implementation of practices to measure the foundation’s progress toward its strategic goals, communicate its impact, and share learnings with key stakeholders. He is also responsible for advancing innovative programmatic initiatives that spark discourse and shape narrative to catalyze sustained change for LGBTQ Americans. Michael joined the foundation in 2019 as senior communications officer and moved into the role of director of strategy in March 2023.
Michael graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science and strategic communication from Texas Christian University. He holds a master’s degree in international and intercultural communication from the University of Denver, where he is an adjunct professor.
